The club has invested in quality AV equipment to ensure everyone attending meetings can see and hear what is going on during the demonstrations. Our video camera and flat screen TVs allow excellent, larger than life size views
of wood turning in progress so it is easy to see the tool tip actually cutting.
We have a wireless microphone and PA system with a hearing aid loop to assist members who are hard of hearing to hear everything the demonstrator is saying.
The club owns three lathes, a Vicmarc VL100, an Axminster AT1416VS lathe and a Record Power DML305. All have a variety of chucks and accessories are available for use by the demonstrator if required, and all three lathes are also available for members' use during Hands On meetings. A CamVac dust extractor is also available.
The club also has an extensive library of books, DVDS and specialist tools which are avilable for members to borrow. |
